Oxton Ladies Football Club
The club was formed in summer 2011with the goal of giving girls in Wallasey a fun and friendly place to play competitive football regardless of their experience or ability.
A foundation that the club, and its coaches, work to maintain always!
Everyone is welcome at Oxton Ladies FC what ever level of football they play at.
You find us today an FA Charter Standard Development club playing in the Wallasey Junior football league, associated to Cheshire FA, playing games and tournaments throughout the year.
The club now comprises nine teams ranging from our six and seven year olds up to our thirteen years old girls team.
With more girls joining the club month on month, Oxton keeps going from strength to strength.
Creating the opportunity for more girls to play and learn the game whilst making friends and having fun!
Fun, fun, fun. This is the focus of this group. Playing football related games that develop the techiques used in the game prepares the girls with out pressure and inreases enjoyment.
The youngest of our teams, but don't be fooled! These girls battle as hard as any other team.
Open to girls reaching age 6 before September or before March.
A great developing ground for all new players or girls that have played in boys teams. It's all about fun and learning for the 8'S and 9's. No pressure, just fun.
Once the girls get the football bug they are hooked, often rivaling the boys with their abilities with the ball. Many will also have the opportunity to represent School in competition.
Regardless of experience or ability these girls find football a great way to make new friends, and learn skills they never knew they had. Also its a great preperation for high school.
Some of these players have been playing for a few years and love the game. And new players are always welcomed, and encouraged to come to train meet the girls, and join the team.
Our players reach eligibility in the next two years and we hope to attract other players to Oxton that want to keep playing when junior football is no longer an option.
